The FlameThrowers-Raptors game began in San Francisco under mostly sunny skies with winds in the 10-12 mph range and occasional gusts higher. The FlameThrowers began pulling upwind, and scored the first goal after throwaways from both teams. The next several points followed in similar fashion.

The FlameThrowers will support Bay Area Disc through a combination of cash and in-kind donations, as well as support for player development clinics. The agreement also provides an additional fundraising opportunity for the Bay Area Disc Association. In exchange for featuring information about upcoming games for the SF FlameThrowers, Bay Area Disc will receive a portion of the proceeds from ticket sales.

Chicago Wildfire Sign Brodie Smith

The Chicago Wildfire have come to terms with Brodie Smith, one of the top players in the world, to return for a second season with the team. The agreement reunites Brodie with Jonathan “Goose” Helton for a third straight season and second with the Wildfire. While Brodie continued to reside in the Jacksonville, FL area last season, he is expected to move to the Chicago area for the upcoming season.
